Trip At Best Buy

While at Best Buy the other day I saw HP’s new TX2000x “consumer laptop.” It is basically a convertible tablet at a consumer price level where (I assume) that tablet functionality is not as important.

Some of the tablet features are a lightscribe DVD drive, dual touch screen, and the latest wireless N. I really like it, though it does seem a bit heavy. With the screen you can use your finger to navigate and when you need to ink with the stylus, the pen turns the touch part of the screen off and you can write without vectoring.

It seems to pack all the features of a laptop with the tablet functionality in a 12” form factor for $1200. This seems to be a really good choice and I’m definitely going to look into this specific model.
